Figma Block Party

Figma Block Party
IPO launch event1067 We turned Lower Manhattan into a full-on block party—part product launch, part neighborhood hang, all very New York. Instead of putting Figma’s latest releases on a stage, we brought them into the street, wrapping hands-on demos, live music, and real-time creation into a day that felt open, social, and human.

Music spilled through the space as DJs set the tone and people flowed between experiences. Murals took shape in real time. Posters were designed, screen-printed, and handed off while the ink was still fresh. Figma Make showed up not as a feature list, but as something you could touch, try, and play with—woven naturally into the rhythm of the day. Inside, the Board Room flipped expectations entirely. What’s usually a buttoned-up space became a laid-back lounge—part hangout, part recharge zone, part photo moment. Scenic elements, soft seating, and refreshments created a counterbalance to the buzz outside, giving people room to connect, linger, and take it all in.

We designed the experience to feel unmistakably local. A bodega-inspired giveaway station handed out custom swag with neighborhood energy, while food trucks brought true NYC flavor into the mix—from King David Tacos and La Newyorkina paletas to La Colombe coffee, Bleecker Street Pizza, and Peter Pan Donuts. It all felt less like an activation and more like something you’d stumble into on a perfect summer afternoon.

At its core, Figma Block Party was about showing up, and celebrating, differently. As Figma stepped into its next chapter, this wasn’t a moment about making noise—it was about making space. Space for creativity to unfold in public. Space for community to gather. Space for a milestone to feel shared, not staged. The result was a day that felt generous, joyful, and deeply aligned with how Figma sees its role in the world: building tools that bring people together—and occasionally throwing a really good party while they’re at it.
