Pattern of Thought

Pattern of Thought
Anthropic / Williams F1 Fan Zone5036 For Anthropic at the Williams F1 Fan Zone, we built a projection-mapped racing experience where Claude read each fan's live simulator telemetry and debriefed them like a race engineer — turning one lap's worth of decisions into a portrait of how they think.

During British Grand Prix weekend, Anthropic took over a basement space below Piccadilly Circus to put fans inside the Pattern of Thought campaign — the idea that Claude can surface patterns in how someone thinks. We designed the experience inside it.

The room set the stakes. Projection mapping across three walls and the floor held the space in pre-race stillness — custom content built around the campaign's cymatic pattern motif, commissioned audio carrying the weight of a grid before the lights go out. When a fan buckled into one of ten F1 simulators and their lap at Silverstone began, the room transformed: projections shifting from ambient calm to full racing saturation, the environment accelerating with the session.

When the lap ended, they stepped up to a driver's locker and Claude debriefed them. Working with our software partners Wild in Vienna, we built a pipeline that fed live telemetry from each simulator directly to Claude as the session happened — so by the time a fan reached the locker, Claude had already read their lap. A cymatic pattern accumulated on screen as it processed. Then the debrief landed: five specific moments from their session, a driving persona drawn from twelve archetypes, a direct comparison against Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz at the same corners.
The persona wasn't a quiz. The debrief wasn't a template. It came from their lap — and it could only have been theirs. 4,129 sessions over five days.
